Dear Musician,
Thank you for your interest in SPLASH! summer music camp.The Pennsylvania Academy of Music has chosen the summer of 2008 to launch this entirely new program to help celebrate and commemorate its move into its new uptown home.
SPLASH! is designed to build and improve your musical and technical skills and develop your sight-reading ability through large and small ensemble experiences under the guidance of experienced directors and music coaches. And of course, meeting new freinds and working alongh side each other to produce beautiful music will make this first season of SPLASH! a most memorable time.Who may apply?
Advanced middle school students and high school students including '08 graduates. Applicants must have at least three (3) years of experience.
What is the daily schedule?
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM wind symphony (concert band), choral ensembles and classes, string chamber ensembles.
12:00 PM to 12:50 PM Lunch provided at no cost to participants
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM orchestra, chorus, wind and percussion small ensembles

What is the total cost of SPLASH!
The total cost of the program including morning and afternoon sessions, five lunches, a Thursday evening chamber music concert and the Friday evening orchestra, chorus and wind symphony concert is $300.00.
Are scholarships available?
Thanks to the generous UNION NATIONAL BANK, the first 50 applicants who complete the application and pass their audition, will receive a 50% reduction in the total cost of the program. Further details can be obtained by requesting an infomation packet.
What, if any, other costs are involved?
While there are no other monetary costs involved, we ask each participant and parent to stand by the commitment of participation from 9-3 daily and the Thursday and Friday evening concerts.
This is going to be a week to remember, so don't delay in returning your application by April 21 and pre-registration fee of $50 (refunded if not accepted in audition).
