"Name that Tune" Contest at Academy
    Construction Site

The Pennsylvania Academy of Music is sponsoring a “Name that Tune” contest through February 23, 2007 featuring a variety of musical prizes for the winner.

Passers-by at 42 Prince Street in downtown Lancaster can win the prizes if they correctly identify the composition and composer of the musical excerpt now adorning panels along the Pennsylvania Academy of Music construction site walkway. Entries must be received by Friday, February 23, 2007 and can be submitted by mail or email to:  The Pennsylvania Academy of Music, “Name that Tune” Contest, 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 or info@paacademymusic.com. Contest entries must include the name, complete address and phone number of the entrant and the name of the composition and its composer in order to qualify.

Multiple entries are allowed. Winners will be drawn from the pool of correct entries. If no correct answer is submitted, a drawing of entrants' names will be held to choose a winner.  Academy and Benchmark Construction staff and their families are excluded from entering the contest.

The prize will be a package of musical “goodies” – tickets to an upcoming Twilight Concert Series program, a Newstead Trio CD, and a Pennsylvania Academy of Music mug and tote bag.

Staff from Benchmark Construction and the Academy came up with the contest idea when brainstorming ways to decorate the walkway. “A piece of music seemed like the ideal display,” said Libby Sternberg, Academy director of marketing. “It's attractive and it captures what the Academy is all about.
